Management Growth Institute, Inc. (MGI) clients are CEOs and business owners driven to improve their businesses. In 1961 MGI opened its doors and offered consulting services and workshops aimed at solving common business problems. Our clients have been family owned businesses, newly acquired businesses, and long standing businesses.
The concept of the first Profit Enhancement Group (PEG) came from the workshops and consulting assignments. In 1976, MGI formed the first PEG. PEGs bring business owners together in the same industry to drive profit and performance up. Members learn from each other and consult with each other under MGI's direction.
MGI has directed PEGs in industries such as: information services management, produce growing, produce distribution, moving and storage, building materials distribution, retail jewelry, retail lumber, spring manufacturing, opticians, office products, footwear, school supplies, and gift dealers. In addition, PEGs in manufacturing have brought representatives from different industries together to critique and learn from each other in the manufacturing environment. More than 500 businesses have participated in PEGs.
MGI delivers services to clients through a core staff and a network of functional experts. MGI qualifies functional experts as directors of PEGs through a process which includes observation of PEG meetings, participation in the PEG process, presentation of seminars to PEG participants, leading a PEG with a director observing, and continual feedback among PEG directors. Workshop leaders bring both deep expertise and varied presentation experience.
MGI workshops elicit participation both before and during the workshops. This technique expands the workshop content.
Consultation services focus on achieving specific goals and providing interim assessment of the goals.
