Kathleen Barry Albertini, President and CEO. Kathi recently joined MGI full-time after dividing her time between MGI and her own consulting practice. HerKathi Albertini experience includes programming, software design, management, directing of PEGs, teaching communication skills workshops, facilitating large and small groups on business teams and in community organizations, and individualized consulting assignments focused on technology assessment and management development. David T. Barry, Chairman. MGI's founder and the creator of the PEG program. Dave has lived and worked all over the United States, and his work has takenDave Barry him around the world. Since founding MGI, he has worked with small businesses in selling, marketing, business succession, family business planning, and organizational development. He developed the Profit Enhancement Group (PEG) program to provide ongoing support and development for small business owners. He has directed 35 different PEGs and delivered customized consulting services to clients worldwide. As the originator of the PEG program, he can walk into a business and ask the right questions. In addition, Dave has forged relationships with over 10 industry associations to sponsor MGI programs. He published The Family Business Estate Planning Guide in 1980.

Edward H. Pendergast, PEG Director, CPA, workshop leader. In addition, Ed leads Pendergast & Company which helps clients develop and implementEdward H. Pendergast financial strategies and is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), an Accredited Business Valuator (ABV) and a Corporate Financial Consultant. He works with clients to assist them in taking their businesses public, to develop strategic alliances, to provide fair market valuation of businesses and he assists in key negotiations. He consults with family owned businesses to address the issues specific to family owned businesses. He directs the firm's activities in the purchase, sale or other transfers of ownership.
     Ed also is a member of the Commercial Panel of the American Arbitration Association, past president of both the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Smaller Business Association of New England. He serves as a Director of many companies, including 2 public companies, and is Chairman of the Board of a public company. Ed has a B.S. in Accounting, an M.S. in Taxation, and a C.A.G.S. in Business and is a graduate of the Owner President Program of the Harvard Business School.

Lynne Levesque, workshop leader, PEG director-in-training. Lynne’s 20 years of business experience include strategic planning, information technologyLynne Levesque management, development and training. Her book, Breakthrough Creativity: Achieving Top Performance Using the Eight Creative Talents (Davies-Black, 2001) provides practical information on fostering and benefiting from creativity in the workplace. She is currently doing research on business development at Harvard Business School.
     Lynne has studied at the Creative Problem Solving Institute in Buffalo, NY and is certified to administer the Center for Creative Leadership's KEYS Assessment of the Climate for Creativity and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® programs. Lynne has an MBA from University of California and an Ed.D in Creativity from the University of Massachusetts.

Michael M. Barry, seminar leader, consultant. Michael providesMichael M. Barry customized consulting services to growing businesses. His financial expertise and technical knowledge has guided start-up businesses in software, retail, and manufacturing to overcome the many challenges faced in the start-up process. He has presented workshops on finance and control, investing and business development. He has participated in PEG programs by presenting seminars and working with groups to gather and analyze data. He holds an MBA from Stanford and has passed the CPA exam.

Jim Knott, consultant. Jim has more than two decades of international experience within the steel and wire industries. Jim brings manufacturing and operating expertise to MGI programs. He has attended PEG meetings both as a member of a manufacturinJim Knottg PEG and as an assistant director.
     Jim has been involved in all aspects of heavy manufacturing, ranging from steel wire production, capital equipment manufacturing, sales, marketing, business development and e-Commerce. Jim participated in the founding of Riverdale Mills Corporation with his father, which gives him first-hand experience with the dynamics of a family owned business.
     Jim is the Principal of Knott & Company, a consulting firm that provides services in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, management consulting, sales and marketing, process innovation, technology transfer, and software deployment.
     Jim received a B.A. in Economics from Boston University and attended the Owner President Program at Harvard Business School.

Founding partner of the McKown Group, a Boston-based consulting firm specializing in estate planning, pensions, profit sharing and insurance, Bob has helped businesses and families in a variety of industries to develop and execute estate plans to meet specific objectives.
